Might not be normal to put your own wedding in your portfolio but I am proud of what I had done. We had our wedding on October 20th, 2020. Due to the events of 2020, it was small, and our budget was cut down. To save more money I custom made pretty much everything and acted as my own wedding planner.
Below is a small collection of photos that our photographer captured of the work I created for our wedding.
Cake Topper
A cake topper that actually looked like us was a must for me. So, I did my research, found a company that does acrylic printing, and sent them my design. Ended up costing less than a normal cake topper.
Snapchat Filter
I made a Snapchat Geo-filter that was assessable at the venue during the time of our wedding. I made an animated Instagram filter, but at the time it didn't have an easy way to have users find it, so I didn't end up using it. You can see the unused filter below with our original wedding date.
The Moon Standee
Building the moon for the stage backdrop was a bit more of a creative challenge than I had anticipated. Wasn't my first time building a stage prop, but I needed to think about things like, traveling and fitting it into the building.
The Wedding Party Accessories
For the Bridesmaids I made them flower hoops that looked like a crescent moon. And for my Groomsmen I designed them crescent moon acrylic pins.
Shadowbox Guest Book
Hand Sanitizer
Hand to be extra safe during a 2020 wedding.
Etcetera!
I was designing every little thing I could. So many ideas made, so many unused. It was hard work during a difficult year, but in the end, we had a beautiful wedding.
